Nice article on Project-Syndicate discussing Swedish strategy to covid that did not practice social distancing until much later and did not even encourage isolation for families returning from ski vacations in North Italy. Some have pushed as positive example based on raw incidence numbers but if you look at the death rate per capita it is 5-8x higher than neighboring Scandinavian nations. See projected per capita rate below in chart highest in world. This is a warning about consequences if we are not careful as we move to other models of mitigation. We can’t just pretend it is like normal but our societies need to be smarter
