Opinion piece in the Scientist provides good information about the problems in some of the reported serology tests.
It discusses some of the key issues including (1) test specificity, which can vary a lot from test to test, (2) recruitment strategy, which affects how biased or representative the sample is, and (3) reporting of results. It discusses some of the most-often-discussed serology results reported to date.
Large studies are commencing, and hopefully they are carefully done to give us a clear, accurate picture of the virus' spread.
