BTW, here is a primate study in which they could NOT be reinfected with the virus underlying covid-19 after clearing. There have been anecdotal cases where covid-19 patients seem to have been reinfected which is a terrifying prospect, but the thought is that these individuals may have still been shedding virus from their initial infection. This study provides support that this was the case, which encourages the prospect of an effective vaccine working.
